God Loves Us
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
~John 3:16 NIV
God loves us. He created us for His pleasure. His desire is that we know Him and come to Him. But there is something standing in the way…sin. Sin separates us from our heavenly Father because He is holy, and we are wretched and lost without a Savior and without hope.
What is the way to salvation?
Because of His great love He provided a way for us to be reconciled to Him. And that way is through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus confirms this in John 14:6, saying, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6b NKJV). Jesus, the perfect lamb took our sins upon Himself. He took our place on the cross and paid a debt we could not pay.
This gift of salvation includes eternal life, and is available to everyone who believes and receives the Son of God. In Romans 10:9-10 Paul pens our part, to receive the gift. We confess, believe, and receive Jesus. “That if you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved” (Romans 10:9-10 NIV).
God made it so simple that everyone—even children—can understand and believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Have you made a decision?
Friend, have you confessed your sins to God, believed in your heart and received Jesus as your Savior, Lord, and soon-coming King? If you have, then 1John 5:11-12 gives you this assurance: “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12 NKJV). God truly loves us to provide the gift of salvation through His Son!
If you have not, received Jesus, then I beg you to reconsider. It is the most crucial decision you can ever make. Where will you spend eternity? Heaven or Hell? It is your decision.
Have you asked Jesus Christ to be your Savior?
Father God, thank You for loving me and sending Jesus to provide the way to be with You forever and ever. Jesus, come into my heart today.
Amen
