God’s Princess
Princess Dream
It was an incredible dream, where in it I was God’s princess. Upon waking, I could still feel Father God’s presence and I didn’t want to do anything other than bask in His love.
Friend, have you ever thought of yourself as God’s princess? Up to this point, my thoughts were intellectualized about the subject. After the dream, I realized that we really are royalty, and Father God wants us to walk in this knowledge.
I asked the Lord to give me Scriptures to meditate on, and He gave me several. I hope these bless you:
Luke 2:46-49 Jesus is Son of God
And He said to them [His parents], “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
~Luke 2:49 NKJV
Jesus knew His royal position from an early age. In Luke 2:46-49, Jesus was about twelve years of age. Even so, He already recognized He was the Son of God. It surprised Him that His parents didn’t know this. He understood His calling before He even performed the first public miracle.
Surely, Jesus also knew as He spoke that day with the Scribes and Pharisees, that He was the Son of Man. He was destined to die for mankind’s sins, paying sin’s death penalty on our behalf, and raise from the dead, victorious over death, Hell, and the grave. With this act, Jesus secured a place in Heaven for all who believe on Him.
1 Peter 2:9-10 We are God’s “Special People”
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light…
~1 Peter 2:9 NKJV
We read about our position as royalty in the familiar passage of 1 Peter 2:9-10. But notice also that there are companion passages (Exodus 19:5, Deuteronomy 14:2, 26:18, Psalm 135:4, and Titus 2:14). Here, God describes us as His “special” or “peculiar” people.
What does it mean to be “special” or “peculiar?” This means we are His “treasure,” or His “jewel”, “set apart” for royal purposes.
Would we want to set aside our own agendas, and surrender our lives to God? Song of Solomon makes it abundantly clear that we would. Why? His Love compels us.
Song 8:6-7 God Deeply Loves His Chosen People
Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm; for love is as strong as death, jealousy as cruel as the grave; its flames are flames of fire, a most vehement flame.
~Song 8:6 NKJV
In Song 8:6, we see that Father God has made us the Bride of Christ, and the depth of love Beloved Jesus has for us is powerful. In this passage, this is a description of natural love. Thus, we can only imagine the strength of the divine love Jesus has for us.
Beloved has given His very life to redeem us; we owe everything to Him! Let’s be determined to sparkle as God’s jewel, but not to draw attention to ourselves, but rather to draw attention to our Bridegroom, Jesus!
What does a Princess do?
They shall be Mine,’ saith the LORD of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels.
~Malachi 3:17 NKJV
What does a princess do? We make the King of Kings known. Not only are we God’s special treasure, we are on assignment. As we make our Savior known, we participate in drawing souls into the Kingdom. We love our Bridegroom Jesus Christ so much, we want Him to be known world-wide.
Friend, grasp the special position God has for you as His unique treasure. Live every day knowing the depth of His love, and rest assured that He is watching over you. Receive your princess position as God’s special jewel.
Have you embraced your royal position as the Bride of Christ?
My Beloved Jesus, I receive my position as Your beloved princess. Help me to maximize every opportunity to make You known. May I live my life exalting You.
Your Bride,
